Two Recipes for Lockdown

We took the decision a week or so ago to just self-isolate for as long as we need to. The stress of trying to pick through ever-changing restrictions and ensure that we comply became just an added complication. We chose to close the Bed & Breakfast to new guests for the time being, particularly as the town hall here in Moclín had asked everyone to voluntarily self-isolate for the protection of others and ourselves. The sense of relief has been marked as it leaves time to concentrate on other exciting, positive and optimistic projects. One of these projects will be announced very, very shortly!

In the meantime, we are still cooking. Food is one of the great joys of being at home, particularly as the days get shorter and the temperatures colder.

You may be aware that, a couple of weeks ago, we were asked to give a cookery demonstration to a group of event delegates who were unable to come to Granada, physically, for their annual get-together, and they wanted a little slice of Spain to be a part of their virtual event.

We managed to put together a 30 minute demonstration covering the preparation of an arroz (rice) and provide a glimpse into the world of tapas with something Andrew cooked up.

We recorded a video as a back up for the live event, just in case there were technical issues, and we can share this with you below if you fancy a look.

We may even be persuaded to video a few more of our exploits in the kitchen, so if there are any of our recipes that you’d like to see on film, then let us know in the comments!
