On our final day in the Cabo de Gata area, we planned to travel from San José to Almería and have a look at a different part of the coastline and explore a little of the city.

The Cabo de Gata area is not large. That said, the coastline is dotted with many, many beaches and coves, and it would be impossible to explore them all over the course of just 1 or 2 days...but we gave it a pretty good shot!
Lunch in Tabernas was not successful. For some reason, the tapas we had (Chorizo) tasted of fish, so we didn’t linger...
For our next road trip adventure we decided to visit the Almeria province and explore the coast of the Cabo de Gata. Once again we will break this up into several readable sections!

Leaving behind Cabo de Trafalgar and Los Caños de Meca, we decided on a rural route to our next destination, Vejer de la Frontera. Driving through forests of Aleppo pine, over gentle hills and into beautiful countryside, reminiscent of the South Downs...
